This is essential to the integrity and success of this process of renewal and reformation. The use of digital surveys will ensure that the input from the people of God CANNOT be corrupted or changed in any way. These surveys should be open to anyone who wants to participate and allow for summarization at a country, regional and global level. The surveys should also permit ‘verbatims’ which capture the inspiration and constructive input of the people participating. These surveys should allow for total transparency allowing the public to see the aggregate results to the questions asked. INVITATION: We invite the Church to leverage the use of online surveys to gather the input of the people on important issues facing our future, e.g., the Role of Women in ordained roles, the New Evangelization, the Sacramental Preparation process, Church Governance, Conflict Resolution and Healing etc. If the process of Church reform is to bear great fruit, we must ensure that God’s people have an opportunity to be heard and that the input of the Holy Spirit is captured with clarity and power. Will you summon the faithful to join in to unite the world daily as ‘fratelli tutti’ (all brothers and sisters in Christ) believing in the power of our united prayer as we strive to reform the Church, bringing healing and renewed faith, hope and love?
If this Synod process of reform is to be truly successful we must make prayer a true priority to ensure we will receive the guidance of the Holy Spirit. “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14 We are mindful of God’s promise for forgiveness and healing: This peace movement has already received over twenty-one million positive responses from people all over the world communicating worldwide support for the unity of the Body of Christ. At this time we contemplate the Passion of Christ and pray for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon all souls, to bring conversion, peace and reconciliation.
